Nick hates his parents. His father left him when he was three, pursuing a career in the Soviet Diplomatic Corps. His mother is nuts and quotes the bible whenever she fights with father. Nick is 10 pounds overweight and wants to bleach his face with acid to get rid of the pimple spots. When he is happy, his smile gets girls' attention, but he is not happy very often. When he is happy, it's usually on his BMX bike, far away from kids of his own age.
The year is 1983 and the place is Vienna, a city wedged between the Iron Curtain in the East, and US military bases in West Germany and Italy in the west. Vienna is where Soviet and Western spies earn their spurs. The Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Red Army alone has 300 undercover operatives, among them a young lieutenant by the name of Vladimir Petin.

This is just a taste of the 200 pages that I have typed up and that I need to proof read. Motivate me to gradually publish it here by sending me feedback and following this story. Nothing motivates a writer more than someone reading his or her work.

The Analyst's Nightmare (Mission Impossible 4)

What is it that one does hours before when the Kremlin's intact but once you leave having failed your original objective, it implodes causing the entire world to heap its destruction onto your shoulders, in turn making Russian agents track you down over a series of nations, borders and buildings which simultaneously reveals your actual heritage and the whereabouts of your Mother of whom, you'd been lead to believe died a long time ago? Nope didn't think you had an answer to that. And frankly, neither do I. I manage to get myself so caught up in much of this tangible work that I don't even have a plan of action. I just go with the flow I guess. It's either that or I'm incredibly talented and charismatic. I personally, think it's the latter but I'll leave that decision up to you. The IMF will stop at nothing to get the answers even if the rest of the organisation has been disavowed, having had Ghost Protocol initiated. But that begs the question, can a certain analyst aid them in their efforts? Or is he too, hiding something which goes deeper than anyone initially thought? Written in 2014 the storyline involves an almost crystal ball view of Putin's growing aggression towards Ukraine. Mikhailya Groschev was born in the year 1952 in the Soviet Union controlled Ukraine. Her father is an Astrophysicist and a Cosmonaut, her Mother a successful doctor. Their family along with four other families is selected to participate in colonizing Mars at the time when America thinks it is winning the Space Race. A new Element is discovered on Mars that turns the mission and Mikhailya's life upside down. The mission fails as the Mars colony is rapidly falling apart, an immediate evacuation is ordered and lives turn upside down. Mikhailya's parents are cold-bloodily murdered and chaos ensues. Once the crew makes their return journey to Earth the next adventure begins. New characters are introduced and a chase across Europe from the Ukraine to Paris gets underway, the out of place Soviet teens must develop new allies while being weary of potential enemies. Due to the stabilizing properties of the limited amount of the new element they bring back to Earth, it becomes a highly sought after prize. There is espionage (NSA, KGB), kidnapping and a little romance too. Determined to keep what remains of her family whole, Mikhailya finds herself tackling adversity and overcoming odds that seem nearly insurmountable, just when she thinks they are getting ahead they fall back and need to regroup. The team gets separated and each group has their own hurdles to face as they adjust to the news of the USSR crumbling and nowhere to turn. Brother is pitted against brother, father against son and Mikhailya's family is caught in the middle. Mikhailya's life is forever changed on her final mission to reunite her family.Complete
