Jack Kelly, who became her unofficial brother, took her in after a few years and brought her up to fight and sell papers. She has no need to dress up as a boy, being herself is much more intimidating. Tempest cannot do anything and thinks there should be more excitement in her boring dull New York life. Spot is the feared newsie leader from Brooklyn. He is known as a big womanizer, but he hasn't found "the one" yet. Right now he is with a girl named Livia, a greedy shirtwaist factory girl. He is a pretty good leader for Brooklyn, his cane that he stole from Pulitzer and his slingshot are his main weapons. Being intimidating has always been his way to get people to do what he wants, but it doesn't work on Tempest, not one bit. As they meet, will these two powerful newsies clash? She's the King of New York
Katherine Plumber has been pulled into a large strike in the summer before the turn of the century. See her part of the strike through her eyes as she experiences situations and feelings she never thought she would. The story begins right in between Watch What Happens and King of New York. So about halfway through the musical. This is a complete story with 14 chapters. Update day will be Fridays or Saturdays, if you don't see it on Friday, check again on Saturday. I do not own the Newsies or the characters in it. This is kind of a crossover story, because I mention a character or two from the original movie. Disney owns all of the characters. I used some of the dialogue and that is also not mine. That goes to Disney and Harvey Fierstein. There are some added scenes so this is not your average strike story. The cover art picture is not mine, I found it on the Internet. It is a still from the movie. I slapped the text on it though. As far as OC's go, there is only one and he appears at the very end.
