Andromeda, a Greek princess sacrificed to a monster so he would stop destroying her lands, saved by Perseus. Ironic that 21st century Andromeda is in Rome, a place that hates the Greeks, and where the Greeks hated the Romans. Shes here, taking a year off from everything before she has to go to school, to remember why she loved art, to remember why she craved the feeling of being alive. She's following in the footsteps of Eat, Pray, Love, but intends to stay in Italy, and maybe journey to Greece, where her name and blood originated, or so says her birth certificate and medical records that the state gave her when she claimed emancipation. Filled with her pain and lonliness, shes gone to find something, to marvel at.

Women are resigned to the knowledge that if they are not married by the time they are twenty five that they never will be. They have limited choices once they are shelved. Martha chooses to go against the wishes of her family. She will spend the rest of her life taking care of her widowed Father as opposed to working and giving all her money to her younger female cousins to supplement their dowry. Fate and time has a different plan. Martha is drawn into a battle between The 19 and The Wild Roses. Two different factions each wanting to use and twist Martha for their own ambitions. We all know the story of how Hades's kidnapped Persephone from her mother and his sister Demeter, brought her to the Underworld and tricked her by eating a Pomegranate that forces her to spend half the year in the Underworld with him. While Persephone may have been reluctant to be with the King of The Underworld at first, she slowly grew to love it and her husband. Hades being the most hated God received a curse from Persephone father, Zeus, that any child Hades and Persephone had together would destroy the world as we know it. Neglecting to tell his young wife this Persephone becomes pregnant. Excited to tell her husband about the news when she gets back to the underworld, her mother let's her know of the curse that Zeus has put on the child. Demeter urges her to be rid of the child, but Persephone, Goddess of Fertility denies the request and hides her pregnancy from all. Once Persephone has the child Zeus and Hades find out, so she asks Athena and Aphrodite for protection of the beautiful little girl. They counteract the little girls curse by providing the girl with a future love so strong, it will kill the darkness inside of her. This is the story of that girl, Helena, Daughter Of Hades.Complete

"Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to.
