In Carmina, ballet and fairy tale are an immense part of the culture. Therefore, to disrespect either, even in the slightest, could cost you everything. When Kailynne gets thrown out into the darkness with her best friend, she must fight to overcome the horrors of Desolation. She must take up the quarrel to make it back to the light, and hopefully with her friends by her side, and ultimately save her world from eternal desolation. But she may come to find that those she had trusted aren't quite who she had thought. Will she escape the darkness in this tale of friendship, family, and love?
