Alex lives in a world underground, the human race is divided into groups, the Diggers, those who bury the bodies and dig the holes, the Creators, those who are in charge of everything and watch over everything, and the Announcers, those who only smile their un-squinting smiles and lead the people to their doom, taking them to the arena's. Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell? This isn't the city, just where the hell am I? The darkness closes in and I welcome the dark oblivion. Perhaps this is just a nightmare? Then I laugh to myself, I'd prefer the nightmare to my life. Perhaps this time I won't wake up?
