[SLOW UPDATES BECAUSE I HAVE NO MOTIVATION IM SORRY]
First, this is a gay Carl Grimes story.
Second, This is my second major story on this account and I promise not to suck as bad as I did last time. I'm giving you a warning now, there is going to be gaps between updates because life doesn't allow for me so sit down and write 24/7. Also, I will try to avoid as many clichés as possible, but some are unavoidable. The only changes to the show's arc are the addition of my OC's, the consequences of their actions, a few time-stretches, and sometimes I'll reverse the order in which things happen (not too much though, and only little things). Other than that it sticks to the shows plot.
Anyway, now that that's over I can give you the blurb you deserve.
Jason Hilt was an ordinary kid before all of this started. The middle child of a family of five, he played Xbox, rode his bike, and pestered his sisters like any other 13 year old boy. Now he has to fight for his family's survival, and is forced to watch as everything he ever loved is ripped away. And then gains the only thing that will ever matter, Carl Grimes.

Hello! So I've been asked to write a walking dead fanfiction a couple times now, I know the series is over but never late then ever am I right? With that being said TWD is a long ass series I'm not sure how long I'll do this for. I am starting by season one of the series just cause it makes more sense and gives me more wiggle room for developments. Some things will change from the original plot, if you don't like it then I'm sorry but don't read it. Eventually I'll stray away from writing word by word of what the characters say, just cause it's a lot to go back and forth to watch the episode to see what exactly was said and done. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall. She thought that they were perfect for one another and losing him shook her to her core. She was in Georgia when the world started to go to hell. After traveling alone for few months into the apocalypse, she stopped to sleep in the woods when she heard two engines stop late into the night. She went closer to the camp, snapping a twig. Then small whispers. A man with a southern twang (appropriate to the area) spoke in a hushed but urgent tone. Athena just caught the end of what he had been saying: "This isn't a democracy anymore!" Shortly after making her presence known, she gets to know the members of the group she heard whispering little by little, though they are hard to let her in to the group at first. After finally being accepted, she catches the eye of Daryl Dixon, the rugged, silent protector of the group. She is extremely apprehensive to do so after losing her husband only a year ago.
