The Four Clans have known peace for generations, having fallen to the truce of the seasons, expelling the war and violence they once knew.
As Spring dawns, two are born in the warm crook of the river's bend, insignificant to the world but everything to the Clan.
Until, suddenly, a traitor arises within the Clan, his ambition shoving the truce into non existence.
Larkpaw barely escapes the massacre of her Clan with her life, taken hostage by the rogues her deputy had lured to camp, her sister, leader, family... all dead behind her.
Only when she escapes does she encounter a simple tom who is truly the way to turn this newfound war, a prophecy looming on the horizon.
But darker things lurk between the stars.
