Hidden deep in the California valley is the Aves Department for the infamous C.R.O.S.S. Laboratories. Offered an internship this esteemed genetic research lab, biology graduate Aurora Hall felt like she was living the dream. However, she soon begins to question the commonality of all the locked doors and vague answers from the shady staff. When she finds an abandoned ID badge with access to the highly restricted Section 3, she can't help but take a look. What she finds makes her question why she was picked as an intern, and she is faced with a choice that threatens to uproot everything she knows about science, humanity, and even love. ▪️▪️▪️ I flattened my palm on the cold glass and held my breath. Lucy has been an orphan since she was ten when her parents died in a car crash. She is now eighteen with her own apartment and is about to start a new job but nothing ever turns out right for Lucy now does it? When Lucy is walking in the park one evening, she is kidnapped by three guys, that just won't let her go... *Some inserts not entire chapter* *They were chasing me but I was nearly in the forest when something tackled me sending sparks flying wherever they touched me. A young inventor has more of an adventure than he bargains for. Dylan Fooler was born a hybrid with the power of shapeshifting, he's known around the world for his ground breaking inventions and canine form. He tries to make the best of things but when another sub set of part humans threatens the ones he loves, he quickly discovers a form unknown to him. A very short story by me loosely based on a weird dream I had (trust me the dream was weirder). Some parts may be a little strange but I wanted to stay as close to my dream as possible.
