It all started that day in the classroom when she saw a familiar face and decided, for once, to be social. Or maybe it was the moment she heard the question "didn't you ever wonder if magic was real?" and listened instead of running as fast as she could. Maybe she just shouldn't have taken a strange drink from a strange guy in a bar, even if it was just in a dream - or maybe she simply should never have fallen asleep on the couch. Or, she thought wryly, digging her fingers in painfully to the undeniably real concrete steps under her, maybe it all started the day she decided to provoke fate, karma, whatever you want to call it, into showing her just how wrong she was about everything in life. Whatever started it, though, Laura is stuck now. Stuck in the madcap whirl of struggling with her own emotions, identity, and worse than anything - dreams. Dreams which suck her into a different world, where a playful but menacing presence seems determined to turn everything she relies on as stable into utter madness. Laura has to come to terms with herself, but before she can even face something that mundane, she's going to have to dance her way through dangerous mischief on a scale that literally shifts galaxies.All Rights Reserved
