He's sent from his home, banished, stripped of his powers. And she's given the power, the power to protect him. They've got a set number of days before things turn to hell, whether they live up to the challenge or not. It all falls to her.

Now Saito lives in Grigori along with Vali, learning about the Underworld and three races that live in the underworld, Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels along with learning powerful artifacts known as "Sacred gears". Eventually, Saito soon gets his own sacred gear that holds one of the most powerful beings in the whole underworld.
