Her name was Sophia Mae. She was unlike any other girl we ever met. We would learn things, and she would apply it. We would read things and memorize them, but she would take a minute to understand them. We would build things, and she would give them value, and meaning. We would fear the upcoming exams, but she would laugh them off like it was nothing.
But then when we graduated, she was gone.
She didn’t even show up for the ceremony.
It’s almost like… she vanished.
We’ve been trying to find her for years now. It’s as if she never existed on this planet before. We’ve given up, but if anyone mentions her name, we’re alert as ever.
Only thing is, no one has.
And now that we’ve grown up, and started our lives as young adults, we can’t help but wonder what became of Sophia Mae. We still wait for her, every single day.
