Fairy tales are real. They all exist in one place, and there are two mythical books controlling the stories. One has been missing for centuries. The other was just destroyed. Jack and Little Red Riding Hood leave their own stories to try and fix the world they live in. They encounter many other characters including Belle and Adam, Cinderella, Ariel, and more. They encounter danger at every turn as they try to piece together what the heck is going on. They must together find the missing book, add all the other stories to it, and discover who is really behind this plot before time runs out.

Kilan is on the run. From men he knows all too well in a forest he does not know well enough. And running into that tree didn't help. But when he wakes up, the forests are the least of his concerns. Kilan finds he has stumbled upon a castle, hidden deep in the woods, filled with servants and young masters who feel like they might just be more then they seem. And there are the thorns. Thousands upon thousands of thorns that cover the grounds and yet only cover one tower - why? And what about the dreams? The girl in the rose room? She seems so real, almost familiar, and yet he can only see her when he sleeps within the castle walls. She isn't there and he has not the time for a Sleeping Beauty. He has other things to contend himself with, in reality - in the waking world. His most prized possession is gone. A story book that means the world to him is lost within the forests - or worse, someone has their hands on it. Above all, it must be found, he has no time for a girl in dreams and the curse placed upon her - he writes fairy tales, he does not live them. Elizabeth Lowell has finished school and has decided to leave the familiarity of her grandparents home in London to join up with her mother and brother who have moved around Europe since the loss of her father a few years earlier. After moving to three different places in six months she begins to regret her decision until they arrive at their latest destination in France. Elizabeths life is about to change in a way she could never have dreamed when she happens to come across an old storybook of Red Riding Hood, written by an ancestor she has more in common with than just appearances.
