Layla's summer vacation was going perfect. She was writing a beautiful song, she was in sunny San Diego, and her best friend, Jess, who she hadn't seen for three years, was coming to visit. But when Layla finds out that Jess is obsessed with the most popular boy band out there, Kool Kidz, her summer doesn't seem so amazing anymore. Jess has bought tickets to the Kool Kidz concert in LA, and lucky Layla gets to go along for the trip. Layla absolutely detests how much people are obsessed with the band, but when one of the band members saves hers and Jess's lives, she might begin to understand how all these girls can be so in love with them. Join Layla and Jess on their romantic adventure with the boys that spirals them into the spotlight and teaches them an important lesson: don't judge a song by its title.
