It's been eleven years since the United Kingdom fell. 

The Dead roam the vast, barren landscape, named the Badlands, as they search for their next meal. Bandits launch continuous attacks on the trade caravans that travel the dangerous miles between each town and the residents of friendly civilian outposts, murdering and pillaging indiscriminately. 

The Settlement, the largest walled town in the West Midlands, stands as the last bastion of refuge for those who still survive. An uneasy truce has been existed between the Settlement and the Bandits for years, the town belonging to one and the roads to the other. 

Something seeks to destroy this truce, however. The number of attacks are rising and the towns Mayor needs someone to find out what is going on. A name, whispered in the ears of bounty hunters, of captured bandits, all say the same thing.

Mister has lived in the Settlement since its beginning and has made a name for himself as a gun for hire. Any contract that pays, he'll take. Hired by a grieving mother to take out the group of bandits that kidnapped her daughter he travels miles out to find them, only to stumble across Ryan. A scrawny boy with a terrible upbringing, he feels a bond emerge between them. Injured and with no other options, he takes him with him.

Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are.
