Peyton Bennett was your ordinary high school girl. She loved music, hanging out with her friends, and baseball. Seeing as though Woodland High School didn't have a softball team, she reserved to baseball. Lucky for her however, she was better in that field than the smaller field. Being the only girl on the team, the boys saw her as one of them, accepting the fact that she was better than more than half of the team. But when tragedy hits, she drowns in her sorrow.
Kaleb Francois wants to do anything but sports. He studies his butt off for his classes, he plays video games, and is top in his class. His parents, however, don't care about his grades. All they wish to have is a superstar son. They force him to play baseball, the one sport he truly understands how to play. Then, out of the blue, his family and him move. Now, attending his new high school, Woodland High, all he hears about are the sports. And then there's the girl.
Coming around the corner is junior prom, where a winter king and queen will be crowned. The hype around school, besides the sports, is this. Will things work out within Peyton's sorrow and Kaleb's family, or will everything be disastrous...
