Anthropologist Joel, a bunch of Baka-pygmies, GIs and ambassadors are in the African rainforest when they get scooped into space by sentient Mould! It gets messy as usual roles are reversed and the group is forced to learn to live together. Meeting the alien doesn't turn out to be as expected and they find themselves questioning the roots of traditional religions and customs on Earth, while doing their best to survive.
