When the ancient village of Lur is threatened, a magical star appears - the Gosaleur-Glatra, or Lastlight as the people call it.  It protects Lur through eons, passed down from generation to generation, until an heir is lost through lies and treachery.  As the evil of Mordak threatens to destroy Lur, the Lastlight searches through the future for a worthy heir.

Air Force Lieutenant Taylor Pierce, assigned to a secret government installation in Turkey, begins having dreams, each more vivid than the last...of castles and war, and a beautiful princess whose face begins to consume him.

On the other side of the world, famous model, Risa Mays also begins having dreams...of castles, of war and a prince she longs for.
