Entry for short story competition 3
An old woman attempts suicide one November evening in London. No doubt that she had a traumatic life, but why did she choose this day to end her life? Why end her life now that her troubles are over? Or is it over?
Adding to the mystery is that two people find stacks of letters written by her supposedly dead husband, who died serving in the war. The thing is, the letters were written after the war. Amongst these questions, was her son, who supposedly died from illness ages ago.
What really happened with this old lady? Is she who she seems to be?
