Entry for short story competition 3
An old woman attempts suicide one November evening in London. No doubt that she had a traumatic life, but why did she choose this day to end her life? Why end her life now that her troubles are over? Or is it over?
Adding to the mystery is that two people find stacks of letters written by her supposedly dead husband, who died serving in the war. The thing is, the letters were written after the war. Amongst these questions, was her son, who supposedly died from illness ages ago.
What really happened with this old lady? Is she who she seems to be?

It Doesn't Even Matter
Max is struggling, plain and simple. After dropping out of school two years ago to help his mom with the bills and losing his best friend, he's just kind of shut things out. His life has been in pure survival mode. Work, pay bills, survive. But things only getting more complicated when he's ripped away from everything he's ever known. His mom, never the most put together woman has an affair with her married boss and gets pregnant. Now she's decided to move them both to Beverly Hills and into his place! With new step siblings that hate him before they've even met and a man that thinks he can just jump in and be his father, Max has had just about enough of everything. On top of all that he's starting up school again, and with these new fancy rich kids, Max feels even more suffocated and out of place then he did before. Will Max figure out his place or fall farther and farther into the background suffocating?

The mission was to extract information from an agent in jungle. Drop in grab the info from the location and quickly and quietly move through the jungle to exfil. Easy in out intel mission. But... She was so quiet I didn't even hear her, next thing I know I have a gun to my temple and a set of eyes fixed on me. She took the information package and was gone in seconds. But those eyes, she saw right through me just as I did her. Those few moments felt like hours. I can't get those eyes out of my mind. Three hours later she's waiting for me at the exfil site. I can't let her get to me, crawl under my skin. But I have to know more about her. Soap says she goes by Reaper and she's assisting the 141 in taking down a terrorist organisation. It's a big mission plenty of time for me to find out what I need to know, what's behind those eyes... before Soap gives her all my secrets. WARNING. This is a violent fanfic. Some of the things mentioned may be upsetting so please check before proceeding. Themes included are strong language, torture, rape, murder, killing, wounded victims, abuse, disassociation, drug use, paralysis, child abuse, panic attacks, suicide, weapon use. This story depicts about a couple. Whose marriage is about to end due to a past incident which the wife sees as nothing serious, as she felt in all situation, life continues. But, when she felt her husband might be seeing someone in secret, she made sure she finds out who the person was, and was so shocked that the person her husband was seeing is a lady old enough to be her child. She tried all her best to separate her husband from this lady, but all efforts to separate them prove abortive. She had no choice than to quit the marriage. But it happened that on the day she gave her husband the divorce papers to sign, she had an automobile accident which result to her having dementia. It now seem so difficult for her to recall her past or who she was.Concluida

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term.
