When Naminé finds her dead fiancé in their small New York apartment she goes into a deep grieving state. As a gift, her parents buy her a small country house in a desolate rural area in Oklahoma to help her 'get away from things' to help her recover, but as she slowly begins to overcome the tragic murder of her once beloved Charlie, suspicion is raised when a dodgy psychiatrist is brought into the picture to ‘help’ her. It isn’t long before she uncovers the mysterious death of Charlie and discovers that his murder wasn't just an average break in, there was more to it. Is her parents’ gift really a gift or more of a plan to keep her away from their dirty secret? Naminé struggles to see truth but when she begins to piece things together. The drama soon plays out as she discovers more about her beloved Charlie’s murder with a suspicious psychiatrist lurking in the shadows of Naminé's grief. As she slowly discovers the truth Naminé finds herself in a whole new world of hurt but also finds a sense of closure.

***Warning: 18+ Mature Content | Viewer Discretion Advised*** Micah Rosemond has never known real love. Despite having loving parents at a young age, his fairytale life was cut short due to a sudden car accident, leaving his father gone forever. His mother succumbed to the ways of God while they had been dragged into an abusive relationship with Richard Rosemond, a man who would soon after become Micah's stepfather. Realizing he fancied both sexes in such a preference-sensitive time, he as well as his fill-in shadow of a father figure copes with much more than what Granite Hill High School has to offer. Pascal Lorelei has an infinite amount of secrets and has no identity known by those around him. He uses anyone he can find to benefit him and his sick needs. Zara Violetta has switched personalities with her twin sister after the death of their mother, and now let's no one in behind her mental walls of protective armor. Delanie Violetta loses her voice after her mother dies and drowns in a relationship with her past flame. Habits she had weened off of slowly arise from the depths of her past to haunt her. Xandria Daimhin has fallen into her drug-induced ways every day since the love of her life disappeared from school and severed all contact from her until the next school year. Alec Clover develops severe jealousy issues when he discovers his old flame entangled with a new student all while being exclusive with his longtime best friend. Victor Daimhin hides a dark past behind his charismatic demeanor and refuses to let anyone know about it. If anyone would know, they would have to take it to their grave. Jacquelyn Lorelei has to live day to day with the fact that every man she knows and meets is either abusive or psychotic. She wonders when the day will come when they will all explode. Thalia Clover has major imposter syndrome and feels as though her family and friends only interact with her to use her for whatever she could possibly offer at any given time.

Charley Beckett-perfectly sane, normal, Charley Beckett-counts everything. Years since her parents' unsolved murder: fifteen. Bodies she's found dead: three. Puncture wounds on each of their throats: two. People who believe her when she says vampires are to blame: zero. Since her parents' murder, she's tried to get past her hallucinations, PTSD, and her reputation as the little red-haired girl police found screaming about monsters that didn't-surely, couldn't-exist. But there's this story-conspiracy theory-swirling around her small town that says her father was part of a secret government experiment, one that would prove vampires weren't legends at all. And Charley can't move on. Especially when she stumbles upon a dead girl with the same bloody puncture wounds as her parents-and someone follows her home. Left with no one who believes her, Charley breaks into the abandoned facility where her father once worked, desperate to find the truth. But she's not the only one after answers. Victor, a handsome vampire, is there to convince her that not only is she perfectly sane, but he's the only one that can save her from those who seek to abuse her connection to the government's experiments. However, when Victor knows details about her parents' death that only the murderer could, Charley will need to learn to trust herself, no matter how crazy her thoughts may seem. If she doesn't, she'll go from counting bodies to counting her last heartbeats...one...two...three...nothing. "Maybe someone heard my screams or maybe the reaper wears combat boots..."
