En route to an urgent humanitarian mission, the U.S.S. Enterprise D stumbles upon a strange sight; a blue, wooden box stranded in the middle of Federation territory, motionless and without power. Its occupant, a strange, seemingly British chap stranded in a universe that is not its own. The challenge to the Enterprise's crew seems straightforward enough; learn if this strange occupant is really who and what he claims to be. But for the Doctor, the questions he face are far more troubling... and, should he find the answers he seeks, he may well wish he hadn't.

"Eleven hundred and three!" Amy breathed. "You were nine hundred and eight the last time we saw you. And what does that make you, Cat? Over a hundred by now!" "Two hundred twenty one, actually!" She said with a laugh. "I can hardly believe it!" Amy peered over Catherine's shoulder, her attention grabbed by something else. "Who's that?" She wondered. Catherine looked around, and saw the figure, and though it looked familiar, she didn't mention it. She turned back around. "Who's who?" Amy looked back at Catherine and her worry cleared. "Sorry, what?" "What did you see? You said you saw something." Amy shook her head with a frown. "No I didn't." "Ah, the moon," the Doctor said, turning and laying on his back, his head on Catherine's lap. She laughed and pushed it off gently. He laughed as well. Amy gazed at them again, wondering what happened for one hundred and ninety five years on that TARDIS. ~ Catherine's story wasn't done. Actually, it's far from over. When two blue envelopes with purple stickers appear on the TARDIS doorstep, both the Doctor and the Destroyer know that a war is about to start, and no amount of running will stop what is coming. They can only face it head on and hope that they make it out alive. ~ Second book in the Eternalian Chronicles Disclaimer : I do not own Doctor Who or any of its characters. I only own Catherine Wood, Reid Wood, Tallulah, Garlin, the Eternl race, and any other characters I add along the way. Cover was made using Canva

"You really care about her, don't you?" Tom said, but the commander didn't answer. So Tom clarified his statement. "The Captain, I mean." "I have the utmost respect and admiration for Captain Janeway." Chakotay's response had been a long time coming. "Yeah, that too..." Tom threw in, as the tone of Chakotay's voice suggested the question had hit a little too close to home. Tom paused momentarily, mulling over what to say next or whether to keep his mouth shut. He put his hand on Chakotay's shoulder. "Commander, I could be wrong but, personally, I think you're holding out on false hope. If it was me, I'd want to know for sure. Maybe even push the point. Make a move. I mean, what's the worst case scenario here? Either she's going to phaser you, or she's going to..." "Consider yourself relieved, Lieutenant!" They both jumped, startled at the sound of her voice. Inwardly, Tom wondered how long the captain might have been standing behind him, while he tried to remember the last few words of his conversation with Chakotay. SYMBOLS or more informally "Why the heck Chakotay chose Seven of Nine when, previously, he wanted to throw her out the nearest airlock" is a work of fanfiction. It sticks to canon and is an ensemble piece, but focuses on Janeway and Chakotay predominantly. Paramount and Pocket Books own everything Star Trek - no copyright breaches intended. I just took the characters out for a play. Literary agent sent most of this to Pocket Books in 1998, but they didn't want it. I have a sweet rejection letter! So it's mine now. A couple of re-writes since then to relocate it in Season 7 and add Chapter 1 and the Epilogue. Heartfelt thanks to Mary Wood, Heather Harwood, Sara Creasy and Mary S (Duffydog) for the editing long ago. Book cover template from Graphic Springs. Feedback is always appreciated.
