Before Gaster really became the royal scientist, he was the head scientist in a small band of scientists. They committed research to make artificial determination to keep monsters around longer. But Gaster then had a son and decided to quit. Months later, the new head scientist invited Gaster over to see the work they have done. Everywhere was broken limbs of skeletons. It was horrible. They had tested on made test subjects. All skeletons. They were force fed determination everyday. Only the strongest survived. And that was only 5 subjects. 1A, 2A, 1B, 2B, 3C, and the youngest, 3D. Gaster grew outrageous of this. They had used his research to make something horrible! He attacked the head scientist and was put to quart. But once Lady Toriel heard the story, everything was shut down. Gaster was given the task to care for the subjects. A lot of troubles faced them in the future. Especially 3D...

Remembrance - An Undertale Story-DISCONTNUED
Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth. Humans and monsters. At least, that's the story we all know. There was another race. Technically, they were monsters. Skeleton monsters to be exact. Humans shunned them because they were monsters. Monsters shunned them because humans had skeletons. In retaliation, the skeletons split into two different races. The Surface Skeletons and the Abyss Skeletons. The Surface Skeletons reaches out to both monsters and humans. However, when the war started, they were some of the first monsters attacked and many were killed when they fought with the other monsters. Only a handful were sealed underground but without the Sun to strengthen their bones, the skeletons suffered until they received anonymous help. Very few survived to this point and slowly, they died out. The Royal Scientist at the time and his wife tried to have children. Each time left them severely weakened. Each child dusted until the wife gave up her life to bring a great skeleton into the world. That child is the last of his kind. The Abyss Skeletons shunned all other monsters and humans, considered them all demons. Their society was alike human society long ago. Divided. They believe they are strong and emotions only weaken. The class system was rigid and they possessed a kill or be killed attitude to all other monsters and humans. They thrived underground and ended up building their society in the Underground's own Abyss. It is a shame that only their leader can reclaim their heir from the corruption caused by those demons. One day, Sans fell sick. His sickness came out of nowhere and it cannot be cured no matter how many medicines Gaster gave him. Because of the sickness, Sans stayed still on the bed, just laying down or sitting on it under the blanket. The sickness can be seen from his face, half of his white skull was a little bit darker than the rest. Gaster and Papyrus had no idea what kind of illness Sans has, but they decided to take care of him no matter what, hoping that the sickness will soon gone either because of the medicines Gaster gave him, or disappears itself. WD Gaster's daughter is the only human with both a human and monster soul, as well as being the only human to teleport, summon bones, blasters and heal monster souls. Georgia is not an ordinary teenager, she doesn't spend time revising, but visiting the underground to see her father, helping him with scientific projects. As other teens would be partying, Georgia would be teaching herself how to control her powers when she's in danger to prevent anyone accidently getting hit by a bone or a Blaster. Georgia has normal, human flesh hands, apart from one minor detail... They have holes in them. One gift from her father is convincing full human hand looking gloves. She doesn't take them off.
