Shadow and his friends Maria the hedgehog, Rouge the bat and Rock the unicorn are constantly butting heads with Sonic and his friends Knuckles the echidna, Amy the hedgehog and Tails the fox (who is now magically the same age as the others. When sonic and shadow stopped the space colony ark from colliding with earth shadow failed to make it out with sonic and ended up falling to earth.
