"Come play!" she said, more like screeched. I looked all around to find the source of her voice but she was nowhere to be seen. I could hear her and if she got 'close' enough, I could smell her. She smelled of sewer and rotten milk. I gag every time she gets close, and even though I could smell her I couldn't quite see her. Maybe a glimpse of light here or there but never her actual form. Her spirit was fuming as it she was screeching in my ear. "COME PLAY! COME PLAY! IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. I blow out air and fall over. * * * * 13 year old Colten, takes a shortcut through the field next to his house on his way home. But why can't he reach his destination?
