Tadeo "Tido" da Rosa had always wanted to be a teacher and his dream has finally come true. He is now a proud Arts teacher at Oakland High. For a while everything was going fine, his colleagues and students liked him and thought of him as an all-around cool guy, what more could he ask for?
But there is one thing that has been bugging him. He has noticed that everyday he did roll call, there was one name on the list that was never there. The other students said it's been like that even before he started working there. No one, not even the other teachers know who she is but imagine Tido's surprise when he finds out his mystery student lives in his apartment building and seems to be hiding a dark secret.
Although he knows he is entering dangerous waters, Tido's curiosity encourages him to find out more about this girl but also tries to fight the strange connection he has towards her.
