"There was once another Mikaelson, and she was adored, bold, brave, too sarcastic for her own good, and, undoubtedly, the sibling to be most fond of," said Elijah as he walked the yard of the Lockwood's with Elena Gilbert. 

"What was her name?" Elena's question had pained Elijah, but his face remained calm. 

"Kordelia," he sighed. 

What Elijah didn't know, is that when the sacrifice is completed, she shall return. Kordelia Mikaelson will rise from the dead and seek her siblings, as something they'd never come across before. Kordelia would be resurrected, because of her dear mother, as an Original Vampire Witch. She is thought to be the only one to take out Klaus, but it doesn't exactly mean she will. When she awakes, she'll be in enemy hands. Niklaus has many enemies, but she'll wake up in Mystic Falls at a Boarding House, where Damon Salvatore locks her up in the basement after hearing her name.
