Barry Allen used to be the kind of guy who would've give everything to save his loved ones and he proved it over and over again. He was a true hero.
But I guess Zoom was right: Heroes die.
It's been five years now since Barry disappeared. Five years since Team Flash blew up and they all stopped talking to each other. They wanted to forget about him, forget about their pain but it wasn't that easy.
Caitlin Snow was the first one who ran away after the loss of Barry and she had her reasons. Barry and Caitlin did share something special, something unique. The last time someone saw Caitlin Snow this happy it was with her husband, Ronald Raymond. And just like him, she lost Barry. She had a constant remember of the man she loved. It wasn't an object like his suit or a wedding band, it was a beautiful girl. Her name was Nora.
Nora Carla Allen, her daughter and the unknown daughter of Barry Allen. Seven months after the anniversary of her father's disappearance she would be reaching her fifth birthday. Once again reminding her mother of the man she loved.

This is a snowbarry plot. The story is based on the last season(however Barry never vanished in the future. So he raises his children). Nora isn't the only one that travels back in time to meet her parents. A second speedster appears in Central City a couple of months after Nora has settled with her parents, challenging what is meant to be impossible. We know Caitlin Snow doesn't believe in destiny, at least not for her. Every person she's loved has either died or they leave at one time or another.
