It's 2075, and currently 11 billion people walk the surface of this planet. Out of that number, my hometown Chantless takes up 64,730. Out of that, one of them is me. A few years ago, the government finally realized they needed to do something about our population. So they decided to make a game out of it.
They call it "Do You Have Talent?" They say it's a game show that puts people's abilities and talents to the test. To see if they are worth keeping alive.
So far, I've lost my father, my friend, and my brother to this little "game".
And I may be next.
But I won't let that happen.
For I have a trick up my sleeve in my own game.

Jasmine is a 16-almost-17 year old girl living in Chantless, a poor town located close to the ocean. She seems like an ordinary girl, struggling to survive with little food, contaminated water, and a stub of a hand every day, but she has a secret no one else knows. Unexpectedly, she is chosen to participate in "Do You Have Talent?"; a wicked and ruthless game show created by the government to handle overpopulation. She meets Liz and Bryan, two other contestants who have also lost family members from this heartless monstrosity. Jasmine befriends them, and finally she has something to lose in her life. But when time starts to run out, she will be forced to make a decision; save her friends, or continue to keep her power a secret?
