Amelia Morgenstern née Moriarty is a troubled woman of many secrets. It has been many years since she has seen her brother, the consulting criminal, and since their last meeting she has both falling into and out of a disastrous marriage with a coworker.

Sherlock Holmes is a consulting detective, and a rather excellent one, in his opinion. After his friend and previous flatmate, John Watson, moves out to live with his wife, Sherlock finds himself in need of a flatmate.

It is not by chance that these two desperate people find their fates intertwined at such a turning point in their lives. After all, the universe is rarely so lazy.

A/N: This work is a rewrite of a previous Sherlock fanfiction of mine, which is titled "Bored." There will be many changes throughout the book, as I am not pleased with how cliché and childish the original version comes off as. I hope this version turns out satisfactory. Please enjoy.
