Winter just isn't her season.

Sydney prefers summer and sunshine. She likes it when school is closed and the pool is open. She enjoys ice cream not ice storms and prefers swimsuits over sweaters. In her opinion, summer trumps winter any day of the year.

But when her neighbors try to convince her otherwise, can they thaw out her aversion to the season and give her a proper taste of winter?

Life has not been kind to Erica Winters. Hardened by her past and facing an uncertain future, she just wants to get by. Then she is recruited to join the Wyld Academy, a school for supernaturals destined to become guardians of an ancient order. Their key purpose? To protect humanity from demonic forces that threaten them. Shifters, witches, vampires and fae roam the halls of the Wyld, but never has the school selected a human. With fascination with her growing, she must learn quickly who to trust and even who to let into her heart. As Erica unravels the truth, she discovers the dangers of a world she never knew existed and why someone fought so hard to hide her. For she isn't the only unusual addition to the school this year. Something out there is killing students and making sure Erica looks like the guilty one. ◆◇◈◇◆ Think New Adult version of Shadowhunters X Lost Girl This is an unedited first draft, posted live as I write it for NaNoWriMo 2022.
