If you, somehow, maintain the endurance and the sort of bleak disposition that it takes to endure such things, you must have heard the unfortunate array of events that is the life of the Baudelaire children. However, what may have been left out of these dark tales is one very intrical character.

Meet Eden Montgomery, which in this place, means Delight. It was used biblically as a name for the Garden of Eden, however do not fooled. She does not change the darkness of the events these children faced. But she may have helped brighten the day of a certain male in the Baudelaire family.

Which is a lot to ask for in this case.

Eden Montgomery is the adopted daughter of one herpetologist Dr. Montgomery Montgomery. She was placed into his care after being removed from the home of her abusive and generally psychotic father Olaf. After being in a safe-haven for a large chunk of her life, she suspects that she has forever escaped her father, until the Baudelaire family come to stay with them.

Eden is thrown right into the middle of a series of unfortunate events, accompanying the Baudelaire orphans on their journey to escape her father, though no one has ever heard the tale of Eden's role in this rather melancholy affair. You could almost say that these are the events untold.

There are two sides to every story, but that doesn't mean that both are always heard. That's the funny thing about history, we don't often hear it from the voices that matter most. The same goes for me. Though the story of the Garden of Eden may seem clear as day, the truth of the matter has been long lost to time and the horrors that happened within it are now only known to its original residents. Though Adam may have been the first man to walk the Earth, to many people's surprise, Eve was not in fact the first woman, for that title would be held by another tortured soul that came before her; a soul who fled after refusing to be subservient to a man that would do unspeakable things to her against her will. Though he was later banished from the garden after his new wife trusted a particularly clever serpent who tricked her into eating fruit from the single tree that had been deemed forbidden, Adam still became famous for his role in humanity while his true first wife seemingly disappeared from the record, only appearing in subtle reference as the 'monster' she became, damning mankind as she spread a plague of demons across the Earth. But now, the question remains, just who was Eden's first daughter? This story takes place in the spring of 2024, and the Archangelic Council is having trouble making a crucial decision that will greatly impact the world. In a dire time like this, they were told by Adonai, God himself before he left the world in their hands long ago, that another council could be called in to help. After putting it to a vote, the New Order was to be assembled and their leader was none other than the wife of both Samael and Lucifer, the mother of all demons herself, Lilith. This story covers important issues including but not limited to bullying, self-harm, suicide, and sexual assault. Going into detail about these things is important to the story and viewer discretion is advised.

I stood with my back to her, shielding her, and my murderous eyes stared down at the poor excuse of a man, promising unimaginable pain if he dared to move or even flinch. The enormity of control it took me to suppress the impulse to eradicate the piece of scum, who dared to even think about laying a hand on a woman, was inconceivable. My whole body was trembling with rage. The guy was intimidated by the fury in my eyes and stumbled back to his intoxicated friends who were too dazed to understand the situation. I was disappointed and relieved at the same time that the chaos didn't end in a fist fight. When I turned around to console her, she was gone. And as I looked around, I saw her back just leaving the bar through the entrance. I hurried out to follow her. She walked ahead of me aimlessly and disoriented like a wounded animal that had just escaped the claws of death. My heart ached for her. I found a kindred soul in her. She evidently had been wounded in the past. Just like me. But in an even worse way than I had been hurt, and it angered me, that someone had dared to harm her. *** Eden Marie Simmons is still recovering after escaping an abusive relationship when she meets Keane, the broody and enigmatic neighbor who is shrouded in mystery. Both are still being haunted by their past and are not ready for a new commitment, but when fate repeatedly puts them in each other's paths, they can't deny their attraction for each other. Life challenges them both with secrets, lies, and broken trusts, and confronts them with their pasts. They both must learn to be brave enough to love again. *** Story is previously called "Paradise Lies"
