Both the Winter Soldier and the Black Widow are shrouded in mystery. Hardly anything is known about them. They share many secrets, most of which have not been indulged to those they trust. No one knows of the past they shared together. This is James Barnes side of the story, the Red Room romance no one knows of.
((This is written entirely upon what is canon in the MCU, using characters present there.
((For Nat's POV, go read @PetesXEyeliner. I don't think you'll be let down. The two stories wind together so you would have to read both sides.

Endings And New Beginnings
This is a sequel to Red Winter. I didn't plan on writing a sequel but here it is! Again, the events transpire in a timeline where they've restored everything after defeating Thanos and reversing the effects of the snap. This is focused on Natasha, Bucky and Steve only. I have always appreciated the dynamics of Steve and Natasha's relationship even if there is no romance in it. And I often wonder how Natasha and Bucky would interact in the present considering their past. Again, I don't own Marvel and any of its characters. Just like you I daydream what happens between the fades in and fades out, between the end of the movie, its mid-credits scene and end-credit scene. And this is the result, one of the results.
