Maple is a young Irish setter puppy, curious about the wolves living in the woods near her home and desperate for an adventure beyond that of her neighborhood. Moon's Shine is a young wolf pup and daughter of the alpha female and male of the Pack of the Falling Stars. In Maple's search for adventure and Moon's Shine attempt to live up to her parents' standards, the two end up meeting and befriending each other. Eventually, Moon's Shine asks Maple if she would be willing to join the wolf pack. But will Maple have what it takes to be a wolf? And how will the other wolves react?
