When two regions realize each other's existence, all hell breaks out. The war between Medeis and Artius would destroy many a Pokémon from each.

Medeis, the region of magics and witchcraft. The Pokémon here have given up normal things like moves in favor of spells and magic. Witches and wizards, if you will.

Artius, the region of perfect normality. The Pokémon here guard their normal ways of life and despise the magic Pokémon. They hate the witches and wizards so much, in fact, that they have...

Witch Trials.

If any Pokémon suspected of witchcraft is found in Artius, they are subject to trials for their life. If they are found guilty of magics, they are, of course executed. Many Pokémon can fool the inhabitants of Artius, but some aren't so lucky.
