Marshall has always been a trouble maker around the Candy Kingdom, but one of his favorite things to do was flirt. He specifically liked to flirt with Prince Gumball, or Gummy, as Marshall called him. This mischievous nature caused Gumball to see him as a trouble maker more than a love interest, even though it was really only teasing. 

One night the true feelings come out. The two are surprised and a relationship is born. A secret relationship that is. Prince Gumball isn't allowed to be in a same-sex relationship as long as he is under the age of eighteen or he could lose his throne.
