It wasn't just that Dan was anxious, who wouldn't be. No, Phil knew Dan wasn't even thinking about the crowd during the meetup, Phil knew Dan was calculating all the seats in the theater, making sure it was a truly an even number like Phil had reassured him. He was making sure that no one was standing, that the only people in the theater were seated, to assure that there was an even number in the audience. So,Phil thought, he was wrong, he guessed, Dan was actually thinking about the crowd, In a way. In the way a person with OCD would think about a crowd. In the way Dan would think about a crowd.
