When her father goes missing, she rushes headlong into searching for him; not knowing what will happen along the way... Anika has always been a girl who acts beyond her years. People say that she's even more mature than her mother. She appears to be living an unperturbed life until her father goes missing in the forest. Her mother slowly loses her mind and her life goes awry. Without hesitation she goes on a search for him and meets four unlikely friends who want to accompany her into the woods. But what they don't know is that the forest is a different world altogether and they find their lives placed on a balance. And they start questioning: will they ever find the girl's father? Is there still a way for them to get back home? Who is Anika... really? The danger mounts as they trek deeper and deeper into the forest and the five children learn the hard way that things are not what they seem. Missing is a novellete of five children brought together by, it seems, the strings of fate. Children have always been inquisitive beings. They somehow find new ways to get into trouble everyday. Often times, children get so wrapped up in world of their own; realities of their own. In Missing, the main little heroes find out that some realities are scarier than most.

All is well in Patty's life until her best friend goes missing. No note. No texts, just got up and was gone the next day. People say she ran off with some guy, or was hiding because she was pregnant with notorious bad boy, that Patty never seemed to like, Jasper Mckinley's child. Some say, she's dead. Patty denies all of it. She knew Jasmine like the back of her hand and she was convinced she did not run away or fell in a ditch somewhere. A year has passed. But she never stopped believing her best friend was still alive. So what happens when a stranger suddenly sends her flowers with notes about things only Jasmine and her would know? And she finds herself asking for help from the very guy she suspects? Everything starts to become a game. For every flower delivered to her doorstep, the chances of finding her best friend alive, decreases.
