"Scott, you have to give him the bite. If he's a real wolf, it'll save him. Otherwise he's not going to make it," Liam begged his Alpha.
"Liam, he's to weak. The bite may kill him."
"But-"
"Liam," Alec intervened, squeezing Liam's hand and making the boy look at him. "He's right. The bite," he paused taking in wheezy breath. "It'll just kill me sooner. I don't want it anyway."
Liam stared dumbfounded. Alec didn't want the bite? Even if it may be the only way to save him? Liam suddenly felt so horrified at the thought that Alec might not actually make it through this alive. Liam didn't know what he'd if Alec were to die. Tears seeped from his eyes as he rested his forehead on their conjoined hands.
Alec's hand snaked through his hair providing a weighty comfort. "Don't cry. Everything will be alright. Everything will turn out right in the end."
