A book is just a book, an inanimate square object that you can hold in your hands and just simply exists, that is, until you open it. Suddenly it opens up a whole new world filled with burning acts of love, impending deaths, and wondrous magic. In the end though, when the book is finished, it's closed and put back on a shelf because it's just a story. A magnificent set of twisted words extracted from the depths of someone's imagination. It's not real. But what if it was. Thousands of years ago, the universe in which Emlyn's planet inhabits was dying. Planets emitted waves of energy which was used to sustain the universe, but the universe was ever expanding and the planets weren't. Starvation, drought, infection, fear, and death reigned. The council on her planet called in their most powerful leaders and came up with a plan. If the universe needed more planets then that's what it would get. Suddenly books weren't fiction anymore, but a supernatural reality, a living planet that sustained the universe, and for a while everything was okay. But when an uprising threatens to break the delicate balance that holds them together, Amethyst knows she must act. Between dangerous loves, false friendships, and blurred lines between fiction and reality, Emlyn is thrust into these living stories with only one thought in mind. Get out alive.

I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move, I couldn't think. I had to save him, but in order to do that I would have to lose myself. The man smiled, "Aren't you a prize? You really have no clue as to how powerful you are. Do you?" ... The Angel realm had been divided into two territories, so war could be avoided by the Angel species. These two territories were the Light kingdom, and the Dark kingdom. You never chose what side to be apart of, when the territories were set in ancient times, they were never tested. You were born into the kingdoms, and no one ever switched sides. Until Rhoslyn Piper. She was the first soul darkened. When she commit an act that the Light angel rulers deemed against the rules, she was set to have her wings and powers removed. But instead of her wings being taken away, they darkened, and she was sent to the dark kingdom, cursed. Rose has been living in the dark kingdom for over a year now, but a new problem faces her. Her former love interest comes back into the picture, her best friend confesses his true feelings for her, but instead of dealing with those things, Rose has to go somewhere an angel has yet to be since the world wars.
