In Alessia's world, there is no such thing as right and wrong. Only power, betrayal, comeuppance, and death. It plagues her town, and now she's found herself caught up in the crossfire of the Ascension and the Shadows. For as long as she could remember, she has been running trying to find the answers that she seeks. Spending every part of her existence evading the people who intend to kill her, and fighting for her life is all she knows; it's all she may ever know. Two vengeful sides have come up with the solution to put their ancient war in the past behind them, and find a new dawn to have their side reign as superior. In order for that to happen, they need her. Now she must choose whether to ascend or live apart of the shadows that she knows all too well. The choice she decides will not only define her, but the brink of the human faction as we know it. The result will be deadly, will she live to see it?
