This is the story of my journey from stage four cancer (breast and colon tumor) to good health. A colorectal tumor was removed surgically twenty years ago (1997), and I was told to have six weeks of chemotherapy, with radiation in the middle of the course of treatment. I declined, went home, and proceeded to heal myself through meditation, diet changes, talking to my body and jumping on a mini trampoline. It took five years, but I am happy and healthy, and very thankful to be alive.

For your consideration for the Wattys of 2017. Diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 25, I kept a journal through surgery and treatment, wrote humorous (or just uncomfortable) short stories and irreverent poems about my experiences. I'm not going to pretend that I have amazing words of wisdom about dealing with the deadly disease. This is a raw, unreserved look at dealing with some real shit in a funny way.
