"Don't jump!" a deep, husky voice begged.
She rolled her eyes, it was too late for anyone to care about her now. She put one foot in the air, taking a deep breath as the rain poured down, drenching her from head to toe. Suddenly, strong arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her off the ledge. She thrashed in his arms, begging, screaming, threatening.
"Get off me! Why the hell do you care anyway?!" she shouted, kicking her legs around in the air.
He didn't speak, just held her until she calmed down, then to his surprise, she started crying. He turned her around and held her close to his chest, stroking her hair.
"Shh.. you're alright now, I'll keep you safe." he cooed.
Once she'd calmed down, she looked up into his eyes, a confused expression crossing her angel-like features. He smiled.
