based on the Short story of "The Body" by Stephen King, and the movie also based off the the novella known as Stand By Me, Its a magical summer full of pranks, train dodges, gang fights, and growing up. after the boys find the body of Ray Brower,  Gordie drowns while swimming back by the old creek and goes into a coma where he shortly dies and visits Heaven. Gordie must find a way to reach back onto earth and along the way, alert Chris to let him know the danger he's in.
