When a solar flare hits earth, and the planet's satellites can't hold up, the entire world blacks out. Seven minutes...Thirty-eight seconds. While scientists cannot discover why this blackout was so short, children around the world begin to change, mentally and physically. Nickolai Hezs, 15 years old, is among those who changed, and realizes that when a mad terrorist attacks his home, he and the others like him may be the only hope of survival.
