Merle Albeon lives in a world where everyone has another chance -- as many as you want, really, unless you're poor. There's a hierarchy, but no one acknowledges it, and she's on the very bottom rung. It's not terrible, per se. Just very annoying. An unfortunate, bottom rung, Deww who really has no issues -- until a combination of soul problems, evil businessmen and other relatively tame things force Merle into ousting a plot that may lead to certain demise.
