Haydin is just your average 16 year old high school student, or so she thought. After half heartedly reaching out to her fellow students for help on her maths test she is quickly overwhelmed by the voices in her head. Shortly after she meets up with Jacob and she is taken to the safe house where she meets the Differs. Together, along with a few other Differs, they will learn more about Haydins' unique ability. However the Differs are not the only ones who are curious. Normals want Haydins power, they want to take it and dissect it, and they will do everything in their power to make her fall into their trap.

Not only does Haydin find herself in a constant struggle between learning fact from fiction, she is also challenged with love.

Between finding out her true heritage and struggling to hold her heart together, will she learn to control it and use her abilities for good, or will the Normals succeed and have the Sight take over?

[NOW PUBLISHED ON AMAZON! You can buy it here: http://bit.ly/ColdFireBUY] [*SAMPLE ONLY* LAST 10 CHAPTERS REMOVED] [A Wattpad featured novel] Melissa has a rare, undiagnosed disease, or so say the doctors that did tests on her for half of her life. She doesn't need a medical certificate to tell her that she's different. She was born with a body temperature so low that most people would die before they even started living. Keyword: most. Somehow, Melissa has managed to live for fifteen years, but those years have not been without their hardships. The doctors told her that in order for her organs to function in such cold conditions, her body must absorb the heat from the surrounding air in a painful process dubbed a "heat attack", which slowly turns her temporary home freezing and uninhabitable. Forced to move from city to city in order to keep everyone in her vicinity alive, and plagued by the stares and hushed whispers that accompany her, Melissa tries to lead a normal life. But she's failing miserably. And when she's approached by the new kid in school, all hope of an ordinary life slips from her grasp. Suddenly, strange is the new normal, and Melissa finds herself wrapped up in a new world where ghosts aren't "just in her head", glass windows shatter unprovoked, and rare, undiagnosed diseases aren't actually diseases at all. And to top it all off, someone - or multiple someones - seem to want her dead. So much for normal... © 2013 by shayebay All Rights Reserved PUBLISHED JUNE 26, 2019 WITH TYPEWRITER PUB!! Riku has lived his entire life with an ability that feels more like a curse he can hear the thoughts of everyone around him. From the moment he was born, the voices of others have echoed in his mind, leaving him overwhelmed and disconnected. His childhood was filled with confusion, isolation, and an unbearable flood of noise that made school and social interactions unbearable. Now a Senior High Student, Riku has learned to manage his daily life by avoiding crowds, planning his routines carefully, and limiting his exposure to others. But no matter how much he isolates himself, the voices never stop. That is, until he meets Hana a quiet, artistic girl whose thoughts are unlike anyone else's. They are calm, gentle, and, most importantly, clear. For the first time, Riku finds himself drawn to someone not because of what they think, but because of how they think. As Riku navigates his growing connection with Hana, he begins to question the true nature of his ability. Is it really a curse, or has he simply never found someone who made it feel like anything else?
