I analyzed the rest of the lunch room, seeing the emos and the nerds all coexisting in their little groups, and finally found who I was looking for. Krystal Calabar, a popular nerd who floated between groups. She fit into the criteria of intelligence, obviously, and she had to be talkative to worm her way into so many groups. Plus, she was undeniably beautiful. Blonde hair that was so dirty it was almost brown, green eyes, and a sculpted face. Plus, she somehow miraculously had no acne on her face, and for once, I felt envy snake up my heart and seize my emotions. Remember the finger, I reminded myself. I took a moment to take a deep breath in and focused on the lull of my childhood clock again. "Hey." I was snapped out of my haze when my hopefully future best friend spoke to me, a confused look on her face. "Hey?" I managed to say, although it sounded like more of a question than anything. "What the hell are you staring at?" She snapped, and I recoiled instantly. Oh, this was going to be fun.

She looks at me incredulously, "Love her?" "Panic attacks, stress disorders, and anxiety. What's not love?" I reply. Spencer Evans is broken. Though people don't realize it because she doesn't look it, she's broken. Almost completely. Now she's going to pull herself back together. To keep people believing that she's perfectly fine. Inside and out. --- Fair Warning: this story was originally written for an English class and it just went on from there. Some of the writing may not be the best, because it is unedited and was originally written back in 2015-16 so.. yeah. Also, it may have some swearing.
