The ground. The thing Jackson has dreamt about for many nights at a time, waiting for a chance to finally be allowed onto it.
The ground. The thing that haunts Lucas every waking moment for his entire existence, dreading the day he'd have to step foot on it.
The two are a part of an entire community, when criminals reach the age of 25, they go to a trial. They're either killed off or put in a waiting room to go to the ground as a crazy science experiment. The worst part? Only 35 have passed the test in the last 18 years...
