Elizabeth Ortiz's sudden death arises suspicion of a homicide, the murder of which falls suspect on her boyfriend Adam. Sam doubts the sinful accusations, and works to prove her brother's innocence, but is met with difficulty due to his conspicuous disappearance. With a growing case set against her brother, Sam meets a mysterious man whom she grows a romantic interest with. Overtime she grows suspicious of this man and questions the reason he had entered her life. Sam slowly uncovers the secrets of not only her newly acquainted man, but of the ones whom her loved ones seem to keep from her. She soon finds herself in a position of isolation where she alone is the only one to be trusted.
