A young witch, Circe, has been going against the kings orders and practicing her magic in secret to become like her mother and save her families business as it slowly falls apart. On the night of a full moon, some of the kings guards come banging on her door to arrest her after he finds out she was using magic, and Circe has no other option but to use her powers to make herself disappear before they catch her. But her spell goes wrong and instead of making herself disappear, she destroys all of the knights, burning her hand with a dark mark in the process, letting darkness inside of her. She curses herself with a dark mark and only has one month before it consumes her, and the only way for her to stop the darkness from spreading inside of her is with the help from a powerful witch. But there are only a couple witches left in the world, so with the help of an annoyingly sweet stranger she meets along the way, Circe goes out on an adventure to try and find the oldest and most powerful witch to help her break the curse before the darkness consumes her forever... but what she doesn't know is that the trip to the said witch is far more dangerous than she could've imagined, and Circe and her new friend find themselves getting into a lot more than just one dangerous situation that could cost both of them their lives. Is it really worth it for Circe to put - not just hers - but her new friends life in danger, or is breaking her curse all that matters to her? She must decide before either of them find themselves in a situation that could cost them their lives.
