In the kingdom of Everwinter, a plague is spreading. It's called the Cold Death. The whole kingdom had to be quarantined because of it. The four districts around Everwinter Castle have dissolved into chaos. In Understone, there's been a mass prison breakout. In Raven's Nest, the walking dead have risen. In the Commons, there's talk of breaking the quarantine and escaping. At the Piers, smugglers and assassins are growing.

Elsa the sorcerer, Merida the druid, Rapunzel the cleric, Hiccup the shifter, and Jack the fighter. Alone they aren't much, especially trapped in Everwinter as they are. But when they're hired to deal with Understone's prison breakout, they'll have to work together to solve a deeper mystery than they had previously imagined. And in the process they might just stumble across the trail for the Cold Death's cure . . . if they don't lose their minds first.
